The story made me feel many emotions I couldn't describe and I don't think I've ever been so moved by something fictional. Depression and suicide are frequent topics in the game, so leave it alone if that triggers you. NieR:Automata is a game that discusses deep subjects such as what it means to be alive and why someone would take that life away, taking another's life or even their own. This is my favourite video game of all time. 4/5 If you are looking for a well informed review. So I would say give it to a mature 16 or 17 year old but it is a must play for anyone who calls themselves a gamer. If you are a parent looking to give this to your child that is a pretty stupid idea. I was gifted the game on my 14th birthday and I was not ready for it there was just so much “stuff” in the game. I would rate it 5/5 but I have to be real there is swearing and and there is sexual innuendos. There are revealing outfits for the female characters but you the player have to put those outfits on her but also keep in mind that that the androids are just dolls so just like a Barbie doll. (Side note there are no humans in the whole game you play as androids and you fight alien robots who gain “emotions” so the “blood” is not real). The overall story is one of love, duty, what it means to have emotions. The gameplay is very fun and addictive(make sure you save your game so you don’t lose all your save data). The soundtrack for the game is on of the best I've ever heard it's up there with Final Fantasy 15. So this is just my opinion on the internet so whatever.
